Stokes Croft
We made an opportunity by subdividing and dropping a new courtyard in the middle to provide natural daylight and ventilation to each space. The aesthetic is hard and rugged -it is a place to bring your bicycle to, and a place to work in.
We have retained and manage both properties which are let on flexible tenancies, with occupants including artists, animators, web designers, events organisers, photographers and Bristol’s only Fixed Gear Bike Shop.
Marketing is done entirely virally using social media and unique events through which we have so far achieved 100% occupancy.

The second UDS project was a more challenging renovation of a previously squatted 1950s workspace of some 4000 sq ft in the heart of Stokes Croft, Bristol. Six members of the team came together to buy the lease, and later re-negotiated purchase of the freehold.
