Idea:

Any single traffic flow street can accommodate a two-way cycle system. Only needs to be done in paint, possibly plus a sign.

Benefits:

Will increase permeability of the city to non-vehicular traffic.

Will reduce travel times.

Will increase bike use.

Will result in a fitter population.

May (should) result in lower car use.

Increases the legibility of the city.
